Leica M Monochrom: best pics

I do not like SE. It is too easy to get overprocessed results. The Monochrom does best with either LR4 or CS 6 without using plugins in my hands.

I agree here, I got SE2 just with the Monochrom (free download) and never used it before. I played around with some of the presets but I didn't find anything that - to my eye at least, improved anything.
So I'm just doing a little fine tuning in LR4.2 and be done. I don't want to mimic a certain film look, a certain grain structure. This is artificial and just a "being used to" preference. Maybe I will revisit SE2 someday again but for now I don't need it.

SE2 will most likely damage your file to an extent when processing, but there are times where it can extract information in a file I never knew existed. The key is knowing 'when' it's best to use it.

This weekend I'll have time to really shot my new MM, until then please pardon me for these average photo's.

35mm Cron ASPH, F2.8, 1/250, 320 ISO
I do like the detail in the gate latch and tones of the metal posts.

Don't you worry, we can feel you excitement :D.
Isn't it amazing when these file pop up on your screen (home monitor that is, of course).

I believe LR "guesses" on what the aperture was. So I'm not sure if the problem is Leica or Adobe. Maybe LR takes info from the JPG display photo from the M9 to do this, am I correct the MM displays a DNG and no JPG? That might be the problem. I know its not accurate however you can usually get close based on how you shoot. No big deal either way.

No, Lightroom does not read out the section of EXIF that contains the guesstimated aperture.

Been lurking around here, and inspired by the photos posted. Finally got my first RF, it's a dream come true hehe.

I am also into trees at the moment, but with buildings:

He everyone let me first introduce myself. My name is Allen and I picked up an MM a couple weeks ago and I have it paired with a new 35 Summilux FLE.

Enough talk, right? Heres some images that I've shot over the past couple weeks as I'm getting used to using the new camera.
