It would be interesting to see the complete frame and compare it to the sample Jon has shown. Judging from the 100% crop of your frame, the spots are much smaller, more homogenous in size and shape...

The M7 depends on batteries (about 80 rolls of 135-36 per one set of batteries) but the improved MP-type VF of the newer models is a big advantage over the M6TTL from my experience and the AE works...

Good point. I would assume that the uncut film material is frozen and probably also kept in an inert gas atmosphere if slow dye-oxidation processes are the origin of shifts in color balance.

I had a similar problem with MP but only at fast shutter-speeds (1/500 and 1/1000). It was still under warranty at that time so Leica fixed it for me and some other electronic-related problems.

Neither of my Leica M-mount lenses goes that far below minimum focus. Just checked my 35mm Summicron, minimum is between the dot of "0.7" and the right half of the "0".
