I took the LVF for its first spin around town. While it's certainly not spectacular, it serves its purpose for framing. Being able to use the camera at eye level makes a big difference for some types...

Panasonic external VF

Anyone have one of these and use it? I was thinking about getting one, particularly for shooting legacy lenses in bright sun. I can see the lcd well enough to frame, but focusing is a pita.

I prefer horizontal for 35mm and vertical for 645. Mostly because that's the natural orientations for the cameras I use for these two formats. For 6x6 I shoot both at the same time.

Use it. I shot with only a 50 for a long time and loved it. When I first got a 35 it seemed too much of a middle ground lens. After using it a while, I can use the 50 and 35 with equal pleasure.
