Finally we got the long awaited nice summer weather. Tomorrow there will be an italian convention with barbecue and lot of wine under pergolas. I will give a try to my first roll of Ilford Pan F 50.

Any advice with this film for mixed shady positions and bright sun?

Happy to add to the: when it doesn't category...

OT: Headed out this morning loaded with two fresh rolls. By 9:30 -after only 10 minutes... the sweat dripping down my back sent me home to my couch, iPad, and RFF... not a single frame exposed.

We are invited to some friends to enjoy an afternoon at their pool with our kids playing. I will take with me one digital camera with lenses 7.5/5.6, 50/1,4, and 14-42 zonm.

Tonight is the annual Summer Solstice garden party chez nous. Lots of good friends, good food, great wine. I plan on using some expired Portra 400UC (for fun) and some TMX @ 1600 when the light starts to fade. But the real fun will be the group shot with the Chamonix 45 with Fujinon 90, TriX (my last sheet!) and FP-4+.

Heavy rain and flash floods put paid to a proposed RF meet in Yorkshire today.
I managed a couple of frames at home with a Mju2 / Adox CHS100.

Another sunny and gorgeous weekend is soon going to happen here.

I will check out locally what is happening and what is worthwhile some photography. If all fails, I have my family.

What are you up to this weekend?

I have two cameras I want to shoot this weekend. I've only used b&w in my Olympus XA and would like to see what the XA can do with color. The 2nd project is testing a garage sale item, a Pentax KM with a Soligor 1:3.5 70-160mm. I've used that combo with b&w and wondered if the lens liked color. You could say 'it's going to be a colorful weekend'.

Going to the mountains for a few days holiday, planning to bring film only cameras probably Nikon FM2 with the 20mm lens ( I have a special idea to develop!) and the m7 I think with the 50mm or the 75 cv or both. Films will be Kodak Ektar 100 and Portra 800).
Weather forecast not optimistic I'll have to shoot a lot inside...but inside where?
robert
PS: and a few books about photography...

I am SO looking forward to that!

...and I used to complain about the snow!

106-108f/41-42c here tomorrow! Good time for catching up on scanning, etc... If all of my darkroom gear shows up soon, I may even run some film.

David: I will seek A/C in such conditions. Who will eat the fried eggs on the street?

Robert: i don't have such a fancy Nikkor lens. Enjoy the trip. If it rains, find shelter!

Paris. M6, C-Sonnar, a few rolls of hp5+ and fp4+, my wonderful wife who humours me constantly stopping to take photos, and my daughter in the baby-backpack, enjoying the ride and the people watching. We just had a random encounter with the gay pride parade too, too funny!

Cheers,
Rob

It is Friday in the USA, and it is the start of a "weekend", so to speak.
My photography activities may be overshadowed by the activities to buy an M8 or M8.2. this weekend. Maybe it is not meant to be for me.

I may just use MF this weekend, just for heck of it.

What will you be up to?

Saturday will go back to my old neighborhood (Long Island City) to visit Five Pointz (a industrial building where graph-eat-tee artists congragate and produce work).

I'll be shooting a Pentax 67II to capture the morning light, and the afternoon I'll be shooting with daylight flash to try and capture something from this break dancing slam-down held at Five Pointz. Basically very athletic/crazy high energy dancers. I'm hoping its not a mob scene so I can get some shots. Anyways its a big party.

Sunday morning will hook up with some RFF'ers to shoot before the NYC Meet-Up. Will show off my new Pentax rig affectionately know as "Son Of Godzilla."

it seems i'll be figuring out what can go in order to pay for the Mamiya 7II and 80mm that's going from 'long term loan' to 'mine' - 150mm from the classifieds already paid for yesterday.

developing a few rolls or so as well, then trying to re-figure my space at home to get back to printing.

We have weather that keeps on changing from sunny and then back to rainy and then from rainy to cloudy and then a little sunshine. This means that photography may either be possible outdors or not. I may meet up with Paul (Fish) for a chat this Saturday. Right Paul?

What will you be up to?

For me, I'll be taking baby pictures (120 B&W) of my lady friend's six-month old grandson. Also had a young model contact me about taking pics. Gotta start thinking about that.

I'm also rebuilding my back deck.

Inspired by this photo thread I put a film in my old (of course!) Rollei 35 T and will use it, in order to produce some appropriate material.
robert
PS: not much time available for developing: I'll use color negative film.

I used the Rokkor 28mm 2.8 on the digitsl EP-2. In fact, I posted in the gallery a photo already.
