I will leave the camera as it is since it already has some character from the paint smudges by the landscape painter who owned it.

I will probably get a nice strap to put on. At least that is something I can remove and use on my next camera if this camera does not work out for me.

Go for it Joe. I always admired Roland's (ferider) white cobra snakeskin camera. Made me think of something Elvis would shoot with while performing in Las Vegas. Which is kinda funny if you know Roland.

Maybe a nice yellowy orange? And if the M4-P is black, paint the dot black and scratch out the white lettering... nothing like a nice clean black camera with Well... unless you plan on selling this thing in the future.

I say go with the 40...
