I'm certainly a half empty person, but I'm trying to change that a bit.

Being a realist is difficult sometimes. If people agree with you, then you are an optimist. If people don't agree, then you are pessimist. In general, though, who cares what they think... few people are purely one or the other.

I've got far more important things to worry about than philosophising over whether a glass is half full or half empty. A half is a half is a half whichever way you look at it unless your thinking is distorted.

And then the story about the optimist and pessimist twins
It's a bit long... so how about just the punch line...
Scene: Christmas morning and the two twins go into separate rooms to see what Santa brought to each of them....
The parents went to check on the little optimist and his gifts. They walked into a room with a large pile of Horse Dung piled in the middle. The little optimist was buried up to his waist throwing dung all around. He exclaimed, full of glee......
"You can't fool mee.......I know there's a pony in here somewhere!!!"

They found him sitting in a roomful of all the most wonderful toys and electronics....
Complaining loudly and endlessly about how disappointed he was, and how the toys would just break and so on....
Pretty mild preparation for the results of the little optimist???

Half full definitely. I would rather get on exposing film than moan that it will disappear if we don't use more.

Q: Is a 36-exposure roll of film with 18 exposures made, half-full or half-empty?
A: One quarter full... They were all double-exposures
