Naming the new digital M the "Leica M" is VERY unfortunate as it will only confuse newbies with other Leica M cameras of the the past. Happily there is room for confusion with only the past 59 years of Leica M production ... since Leica introduced the Leica M system in 1953. All Hail for the Leica Marketing Department learning Leica M history!
Assembly is required, but will void the warranty if done by anyone but the factory. Camera must be bought unassembled and then returned to factory for assembly. Must be true; I read it on the internet.
+1 another vote for Miroslav Tichy's wonderful camera creations - each a work of art - and the results were sometimes remarkable! A pity he died recently - perhaps he could have designed the M10-Monochrom...
The M10 and same (copied) photo will be available soon on evilbay as a 100% genuine item from dealers in the Ukraine, Vietnam, and China, however, no returns accepted.
