Digital Leica M8 / M8.2 / M9 / M-E /Mono / M10 aka "M" Discussions about the Leica M8 /M 8.2 / M9 / M9-P/ M-E / M Monochrom / M10 aka "M": Leica digital M mount rangefinder cameras. Naming the new digital M the "Leica M" is VERY unfortunate as it will only confuse newbies with other Leica M cameras of the the past. Happily there is room for confusion with only the past 59 years of Leica M production ... since Leica introduced the Leica M system in 1953. All Hail for the Leica Marketing Department learning Leica M history!

That's ridiculous.... how come they still haven't added a manual shutter cocking lever? Oh, Leica, you...

I read that the new perspective control lens works by simply squeezing the lens barrel. Oskar is smiling in heaven!

I don't know. I'm personally not a big fan of red dot.. I guess I'll have to wait till they release M10C-P and swallow 10% higher price tag...

+1 another vote for Miroslav Tichy's wonderful camera creations - each a work of art - and the results were sometimes remarkable! A pity he died recently - perhaps he could have designed the M10-Monochrom...

The M10 and same (copied) photo will be available soon on evilbay as a 100% genuine item from dealers in the Ukraine, Vietnam, and China, however, no returns accepted.
