It's a lovely series. Love the technical qualities and the execution.
What inspired you to shoot this concept series?

This is so beautiful!! I was just starting at it for many minutes... not realizing that I'd drifted off into thoughts inspired by it.

Agree with the others, these are awesome! The concept is something I haven't seen done before and I love the way you've co-ordinated the clothing/colours/toning of each image to match the car. Really clever and visually beautiful.

Agreed, absolutely stunning - Jurgen this has such has such a filmic look to it, if you put it in front of me I'd have guessed it was shot on medium format some time in the 70s/80s. The deep colours and tones are wonderful.
This is the thread that goes on giving - I need to check in more often.

As for the conversion, I usually start out with a home-brewed preset that combines the "Fine Art Print" factory preset with the Agfa 100 film type setting. Then I tweak overall settings for brightness and structure and will sometimes change the film type until it looks good to my eye in general. After that, I start laying down control points and adjusting brightness, contrast, structure, etc... until everything is just so and the stuff I want to pop, pops. Each frame is handled differently, sort of like printing in the darkroom.
Hope that was a good starting point for your own explorations!
|
Had a go at this today. Itīs a great starting point. My only problem was that I canīt seem to have a "fine art print" factory setting.
Maybe itīs because I have silver efex 1 ??
