R3A wonky framelines

I seem to have ongoing issues with my R3A finder. Normally it's just a case of RF alignment which I've become quite good at fixing ;-)

A few times however, after a knock admittedly, the framelines themselves go WAY out. I mean they become crocked and move way out of alignment - I might see the left 40mm frame line a third into the frame and nothing else.

In the past I've sent it away to be fixed, but I'd love to do this myself as it happens quite regularly. I don;t baby my camera but I'm not rough either. Can anyone suggest a starting point? Thank you.

Thanks for that. Yeah I've seen that site, and it has helped me with the RF patch adjustment but it does nothing about the frameline placement. My RF is spot on (focussing is accurate) - just the framelines themselves are all over the place ;-)
