a real sleeper is the late production Yashica D model, which came with the 4-element Yashinon lens (earlier D's had the cheaper Yashikor).

Eh, the big SLRs are no harder to shoot offhand than a TLR; and an RZ-67 Pro II is a joy to own and use. Cheaper than joining a gym, too.

The late production models also came with a 2.8 viewing lens, which makes focusing brighter and easier when used with the 3.5 Yashinon taking lens.

One more vote for the Autocord. Most likely the last film camera I will hold on to.

It has the right price. The right film path. Great focusing mechanism (can be operated with one hand). Great lens. Small size and light weight.

Yes, you should CLA it (all 40+ year old cameras should be CLAed).

I have 3 of them, one totally awesome, one being redone (by me, slowly) and a beater, but functioning one that I will use for spears if needed.

In side by side comparisons with my 500CM and 80mm f2.8 CF I prefer the Autocord for anything but close-up work.

On more note: The lever can break if you open the back with the focusing-lever not in an extreme position. That is, if the lever is in the middle of the focusing range, the swinging back will press against it.

Well, the poster got the Yashica-Mat, so let's hear how he likes it once he gets it.

Thanks guys.
That sounds like a fair price if the camera is in a good condition. I hope it will serve you well. TLR is a real fun!

Another vote for the Ricoh Diacord L, had mine for about a year, first couple of rolls were terrible. Finally figured out how to set f and shutter speed with on board meter. And yes I have a hand held meter, just don't like to carry it.
