Where do you look when you're looking to buy gear?

I'm curious as I am putting together a bunch of gear for sale, a good bit of which might be interesting to folks on this forum. Normally I've sold a lot of camera gear on Ebay, and to fellow participants on GetDPI.com as well as a couple of other camera forums.

Some of the gear I'm selling might be of particular interest to participants here, which is why I'm asking.

Thanks!

I only buy here, from reputable eBay sellers, and in person.

I've tried Etsy a few times and it almost always dissapointed me. The only one good is a Olympus 35RC. Had more positive experience with Ebay.

I usually look at my wallet and bank account balance first. :P

Then it is time for extensive research, to prevent impulse purchases.

Afterwards, depending on whether I am purchasing a new camera (brand new) or used, I may first check out B&H, Adorama, and Amazon for prices on both used and new. KEH is also a good place to look for used gear at fairly good prices.

Best Buy, FutureShop and B&H, Amazon and the manufacturers' sites, as well as manufacturers' own local shops and other local camera shops are where I purchase my desired digital cameras, lenses and accessories when buying new.

Ebay, KEH, Craigslist, RFF Classified, and local pawn shops, thrift stores, and camera shops are where I usually look for buying used gear.

Thanks!

So where on this forum do you normally look for equipment being offered? I don't see a dedicated "for sale or trade" forum like with other discussion boards.

... Oh wait! I just found the Classifieds section. :-)
Is that where y'all look?

Classifieds here for second hand. There are members here who watch the new listings closely, not daily, not just by the hour.....

I don't look anywhere specifically. It's pure luck. But then, I don't look to buy much.

Cheers.

Never FleaBay (too many liars). Most of my stuff is from KEH, but I also check and shop on Craigslist and some online forums...
