Digital Leica M8 / M8.2 / M9 / M-E /Mono / M10 aka "M" Discussions about the Leica M8 /M 8.2 / M9 / M9-P/ M-E / M Monochrom / M10 aka "M": Leica digital M mount rangefinder cameras. Naming the new digital M the "Leica M" is VERY unfortunate as it will only confuse newbies with other Leica M cameras of the the past. Happily there is room for confusion with only the past 59 years of Leica M production ... since Leica introduced the Leica M system in 1953. All Hail for the Leica Marketing Department learning Leica M history!

First I was thinking about opening up a genreal new thread "M9 at the Mall" but I'll just post these in here.

I was walking around inside a mall yesterday happily snapping away pics all over the place. Manual white balancing with the expodisc.

No one, no a single shopper was bothered or did any security guy ask any questions. So much about the often cited "issues" shooting in public...

Klaus,

This raises an interesting point for me. The "mall" really is the current street especially here is the states, and I am guilty of thumbing my nose at the idea that the light or subject matter there provides a worthy visual environment. Of course it does. I like #s 1 and 3 here

David

Hi David,

thanks for your comment, yes indeed if your spouse intends to shop, just bring your camera and do something useful .

You are welcome and thanks for the compliments. The Noctilux really sings in conditions like this and the M9 ain't too shabby either!
