Nice. Now you need a 58mm f2.0 Biotar to go on it. A wonderful old lens. Joe

I had a couple of Praktica FX cameras for a loooong time. Nicely made, but the lack of automatic aperture operation is the reason I stopped using them. My nice one seized up when I took it out last, unfortunately. Rather unusually large for a 35mm camera too.

Hi,

Nice ones and interesting to see a waist level finder; it's something most have forgotten.

Have you the instruction manual? From memory, it's needed to get the slow speeds but I could be wrong. I vaguely remember a centre dial being moved to go on to the slow ones...

Regards, David

You set the small dial so that the red arrows are aligned, and then select the red (slow speeds) with the lift and set dial.

I will have to look at my lenses at home. I don't remember seeing a Super Yashinon. Was that how all were marked and I have just forgotten, or is that unusual? I haven't been using my Yashinons for some time, although I think they are very good lenses.

Thanks , the Yashinon didn't come on the camera, when I bought it , I just put it on for the picture . I think most came with Zeiss or Meyer lens . Having the M42 mount sure opens up your lens choices.
