M9, 50mm Summilux ver.2, ISO 2500

Mixed colors of existing light in local club. Hand held, ISO 2500 at f/1.4. Some softening of face was needed to compensate for pretty harsh lighting.

I took delivery of a new to me black M9 on Friday and mamaged to take it for a short spin round the block with the Zeiss 35mm f2.8 as it was getting dark this afternoon. I'm enjoying it so far - very similar to the M8 I used to have but with a quieter shutter. Noise up to 1000 iso is absolutely fine for my purposes and the files seem to process well. Two from the first batch, both processed in Silver Efex:

Is oof focus point out of focus focus point? Is this a blurred photo you are seeing? Please explain with more detail. I think a lot of M9 pictures are detectably affected by minor camera shake and that higher shutter speeds than for film are needed. Is that anywhere in the direction of what you are noticing....??

I agree - albeit in my case. Often, camera shake and slow shutter are the usual suspects of seemingly oof photos.
