Races look like fun, reminds me of the go-cart races as a lad in New York.

6 participants, 3 photographers (including you) ... looks like a slow day at the icebox races.

It's 21F right now in Bisbee and I feel as one with you folks. Joe, did you shoot these painfully sharp images with your XPro1? My house below.

Two purpose lens hoods are more expensive. As pictured it keeps the glare from snow out of the photographers open eye

I like my Winter festival's in much warmer climates!!!! Vancouver is going through a cold spell (almost -1C today at noon). Hate it - particularly with some wind. Bright sky though - which is a bit of a novelty at the moment.
Nice stuff, Joe - those Fuji lenses are good, really good.

Looks like a fun way to spend the day, joe!
Not sure what our winter celebration will be like this year; the lake is still not frozen enough to be on.
Usualy, there is golfing on the ice and the "traditional" cast iron skillet pan toss.
Got a few weeks for the weather to get good, can't wait to be able to get to town across the lake (1.5 miles) instead of around the lake(9 miles).

That is a nice set of images from the North...certainly gives me a better idea than some of the blizzard photos others have posted to scare us Southerners to death. Looks like fun!!!

66 degrees here in North Carolina right now. I'm going outside to take advantage of it because cold weather is coming next week.
