This is fast becoming one of my favorite threads. The photographs are outstanding, and I am referring to the artistic quality which is even more impressive than the technical quality. Thanks for sharing.

Mine just came today, and am very excited to start shooting with it (though I want to make sure that the 'first' shot isn't of my cat or some test shot in my office!).

Question -- I noticed that there is a 'pull 160' option in the ISO. Any qualitative difference between shooting at 160 and the 320 default?

First CONGRATS. I have a feeling you are going to LOVE it. I didn't see any major degrading of the image quality.

took a few shots with a Monochrom yesterday at the Brazilian launch of the camera.
looking at 1:1 size at iso 10.000 was amazing, there is so little noise.

It seems like the resolution is very high. Look at the MM landscape thread for detailed examples.

In a word: WOW.

Congrats Vince! I like the first shot. Notice the detail on the door handle? These Mono's are amazing.

With the "M" coming does anyone know how long the Monochrom and how many will be made? I may have used inaccurate information when I explained to my wife why I needed to have one. Opps!

Yes, positively confirmed for your better half.
It's a strictly limited run. After the final deliveries of this batch all tools and machinery will be destroyed.
The very final signup is before X-mas '12. You need to hurry up Jim !
