Hi Jim,

I do commercial advertising for over 2 dozen hospitals in my area. I took this while shooting for one of them. I was the staff photographer for one of them for 10 years and started my own business 12 yeas ago specializing in healthcare.

I've had the Monochrom for six days now, and it's been an absolute blast so far. I love this camera.

This thread - which I lurked for the last few months - has been an ongoing inspiration, and invaluable resource in evaluating the purchase. Thanks so much for sharing your work and your experience with the Monochrom. I'll continue to follow with interest.

Here are some of my first shots taken in these six days. I only shot at night time, or indoor, here in London, except for a quick walk last Sunday - but unfortunately it was raining. I'm looking forward to the weekend to go out and catch some daylight.

Jim hello!

Re: PP - nothing really fancy, probably just inherited the PP technique from how i process the Nikon D800E .nef files which have unprecendented latitude in terms of DR.

Basically here's what I do in LR: adjust exposure; push and pull the highlights, shadows, white and black sliders; then after that I tinker with the curves, being aware to protect both the highlights and shadows; apply vignetting.

^^ lovely shots on the previous posts, thanks guys for sharing! ^^

Taken on Valentine's day, this was a free wedding for 100 couples... I took the MM and a Micro 4/3s (GX1, 12-35 2.8 and 7-14 4). At the end of the day, I felt that my keepers were mostly from the MM, I hope.

I like your use of flash. SD24 right? Do you tune it down a stop or 2?

Thanks, yeah actually I tune it down -3 sometimes. I also just got a small fuji flash to play with because it has a much smaller profile...

Thanks so much. It was the 35 lux FLE available fluorescent lighting.

The dark haired woman was 3200 ISO and I think it was f/2.8 at 1/125

The nurse was also 3200 ISO 1/125 at f/2 IIRC.

Quick mask (CS4) on faces and after that faces are masked I brought the backgrounds down some. 1/2 stop or so.
