Good time club fare. Small's Bar Hamtramck Michigan, first two Detroit Party Marching Band, third Black Bear Combo. Never bothered with the stage, both bands played the floor

Carsten, a nice showcase of the different FLs, the shot by the 90 being my fav.

Klaus, I like the mood of the 2nd shot.

Mike, seems like a good night with good music and photography.

Fabio, you must have been quick to take the shot on the first one? Nice.

Mike & Dave thanks for your comments, the gas station was more or less in response to a $45.000 Pt/Pd fine art print (of a gas station) at a gallery opening that I didn't like - but just a personal thing about low contrast printing. So at least it inspired me to stop at the gas station and take a few shots (handheld).

And Mike, great work of concerts on your Flickr!

Mike and Dave, thanks. Yes I was luckily able to react quickly, but I underexposed badly, so I had to compensate in Lightroom, thanks to the MM's DNG that was an easy one to recover.

Great contrast and composition on that newsagent frame, Michael, is that Soho or where else?

Dave, I am using the 28mm more in this period, and your work is an inspiration.

airfrogusmc, Dave and Micheal, I enjoyed your last sets.

Dave, is that a typhoon in your last shot?

Klaus, nice to see more live music pics with the MM, these are from my last gig on Thursday, with some improvised portraits as well.

Klaus, this last one is like a mini commentary on street photography, a positive one. I think it was Peter Turnley who said recently it's all about love, caritas not eros.

Hello everyone, there is so much great work in this thread. And it is constantly growing. If you havenīt been here for a week or two it is almost impossible to comment on every post that inspired and excited me. So thank you all for sharing. I for myself can say that I am learning a lot by looking at your work.

Hi Everyone,

I just found out that this image I entered in the I Shot It B&W photography contest has received the Mark of Excellence Award. The top prize was over $13,000 and a Leica M Monochrom.
Scroll down to line #15.

Thanks Klaus and Michael.. Twice entered, twice brides maid (LoL) maybe the third time will be the charm.

You guys should all enter. Not only is there a Leica M Monochrom as top prize but there was over 13K cash in this past contest and the MM and over $20K in the one before that.

No rights grab either. The only down side is the $20 entry fee.

Good going on the recognition -- it's one heck of photo! I do know the feeling about being the proverbial bridesmaid, as you say, so I can empathize.

Thanks Vince and that the old Coleman Theater building?

Nicely done.
