Last Distro of Agfa Film & Paper - Canadians Take Note

FYI...

http://www.photomarketing.com/dailynews/nl_default.htm

Quote:
Amplis Foto to acquire large inventory of AgfaPhoto products directly from Germany

Amplis Foto Inc., Markham, Ontario, Canada, will receive direct shipments of film, paper and chemistry from AgfaPhoto GmbH in Germany. To meet continued demand, Amplis Foto will receive two large shipments of AgfaPhoto products by mid-February containing a comprehensive assortment of black-and-white film, color negative and slide film, paper and chemicals.

Among the black-and-white paper being acquired are Multicontrast Classic Fibre Base 111 and 118 surfaces and Multicontrast Premium RC 310 and 312 surfaces in a wide range of sheet and roll formats. In black-and-white 35mm film, shipments include APX 100, APX 400 and Silvertone 100 and 400. Processing supplies include a large inventory of AgfaPhoto's Rodinal, Multicontrast developer and fixer, Neutol WA developer, Agefix and FX Universal fixer and Sistan Image Silver stabilizer. The much desired, high-color saturation Ultra 100 film will be available in limited quantities along with a re-supply of Vista color negative film and CT Precisa colour slide film. This is in addition to a good supply or Portrait 160 film in 35mm, 120 and 220, and Optima 400 in 35mm and 220 formats.

"We are extremely enthusiastic about this unusual opportunity to re-supply our customers with AgfaPhoto materials that seemed unobtainable in the recent months," stated Hayley Ohlig-Rak, president, Amplis Foto. "The downside is that this is a one time arrangement and once the inventory is gone, it's gone."
Best Regards,

Bill Mattocks

Sad, but at the very least I will have one more Summer shooting with Agfa APX 100 and 400. I am going to keep an eye out at Henrys to see when they are re-stocked.

I first heard about this shipment this last month from Ken at Downtown Camera. I believe a lot of the stuff is headed his way.
