Smile Another cat picture thread

I thought I would start another cat picture thread, since we all love cats. Anyone who doesn't like cats will be mice in their next life.

Here is Smokey on the couch before his giant hairball incident.

Nice shot of Smokey! Fine looking creature!

Put him in a dark alley and you can practice classical metering techniques!

So, William... didn't you document the hairball incident?

I would have tried.

Now, speaking of "sleeping beauties," here's another version!

I love franciso...he looks like he had some catnip and is "relaxing" for your shot.

Next time smokey has a hairball fit, i will try and capture a candid for you. *before hairball actually shows up.*

I'm not sure if your cat(s) talk but mine does. He says mama, no, mom, hello, seems he learns a new word every year. He's retired now, he's 15 now but will be 16 in December.

I think I've posted this one before; need to make some fresh ones! Here's the brother nearest the camera, and his two sisters.

We've promised her a cat when we move to a larger house but if my little girl sees these photos she'll want a cat right now!

Gene,

Cats apparently got that "zen" thing down waaaaay before any human being ever figured it could be done.

And you photo shows years of practice!

Remy, Peter, Francisco, thanks! The shot was taken in 1970 -- Tri-X in D76 -- with an old Pentax H1a (pre-Spotmatic) SLR and 55mm f/2 Super-Tak. That was one fine cat -- I remember him fondly.

You're so right Francisco -- they perfected zen long before we invented the word ...

Gene, that picture immediately triggered a memory of a dog/cat combo I had years ago. We'd just bought new furniture and wanted to keep them off (at least until the new smell wore off) Our vet recommended a spray that was allegedly repulsive to dogs and cats. You sprayed it on sheets of paper to avoid staining the furniture and then just put the papers on the couch and chair cushions. First night home from work I found the dog sleeping at one end of the couch, the cat at the other, and the papers had obviously been stomped up and down; they were covered with pawprints quite similar to the ones in your shot. Complete and utter disdain. We gave the rest of the can of spray away.
