Digital Leica M8 / M8.2 / M9 / M-E /Mono / M10 aka "M" Discussions about the Leica M8 /M 8.2 / M9 / M9-P/ M-E / M Monochrom / M10 aka "M": Leica digital M mount rangefinder cameras. Naming the new digital M the "Leica M" is VERY unfortunate as it will only confuse newbies with other Leica M cameras of the the past. Happily there is room for confusion with only the past 59 years of Leica M production ... since Leica introduced the Leica M system in 1953. All Hail for the Leica Marketing Department learning Leica M history!

Yes JubbJubb, I really like that one of the silver haired person(Pat? in the cafe. Nice the way you left the larger frame. I would have been tempted to crop in but it works nice as is.

Nice frames!

I like your framing and movement even if frozen here. I notice you are shooting with the Pre-asph 21. I really like that lens and also in combination with my M8.
That said, it was the first one in B&W with the 28 really that caught my eye!

A good rule!

I do it more than I'd like, and considering I come from using 35mm on a 35mm neg, it seems nuts to crop using a cropped sensor camera.

Thanks,
I still have a lot to learn from that 21mm!
I think I already have posted that one on RFF:

that's quite spectacular Jean-Marc!
I like, how you can explore the frame and find out about the couple walking in that scene ;-)

First time I used my M8 at a concert. It held up quite well at iso640 and canon ltm 50mm f/1.2 shot at f/2.
