An old and trusty Nikon FM loaded with Rollei Retro 100. I took some casual portraits earlier today and am now thinking to shoot the end of the roll while walking the dog.

Yes. Yes it does... if you like the 135 FL.
That's the sticking point for me. Glad you like it!

The funny thing is, that I didn't buy the 135/2 DC as for it's focal length, but entirely for it's DC feature, which I in fact LOOOOOOOVE!
I shoot mostly on the street with 50mm and 35mm lenses.
Adding the heavy D3 + (not small and light) 135/2 DC to a M9 + 50/1 + 35 stashed in the bag is a wonderful kit for the street.
You get whole new possibilities, which is why, I learn to love the heavy D3 again:
You can get quite personal, intimate with the 135/2 DC:
You can play with the fast long focal length for telephoto effects:
And you can go for classic portraits on the street:
… or:
… or get close without disturbing:
… or just catch candid moments (I am reminded again by the deadly accurate and blazing quick AF of the D3 after having dismissed SLRs for a long time now):
It seems, this kit will stick for a while with me for shooting candids outside:
D3 + 135/2 DC
M9 + 35 Lux ASPH/ Noctilux
The 135/2 DC pairs absolutely perfectly with the old Noctilux f1 btw - you can make the photographs character very close to the Noctilux with the defocus control (this is often completely misunderstood - it is a feaature, to alter the look over the whole frame, altering the character of bokeh AND the look of details, never getting loss of detail btw).
It is a deadly sharp and contrasty lens, when shot without DC setting, but it transforms into a classic spherical lower contrast lens with just the right bit of "glow" - my new favorite SLR lens!

I carry 2 different camera bags depending on if I'm on the move, or going to one location or people that I know.
Traveling bag...XPan and Widelux 7.
Serious traveling bag...Fujica GL690/100AE + 50mm f5.6.
