Starting to like different color combos

Just lately I started to like my lens , body color in different combos..

What I mean by that is , usually I used to go with a black body , black lens , because the yellow engraving on the black lens was easy and it matched the body..

But lately i don't know why but cosmetically I am liking the idea of having let's say a silver body and a black lens

Or a Black body and Silver lens

Thoughts on this?

My most used combo is a black lens on a black body.
But I also like silver lenses on my black body. All my other lenses are silver, or chrome rather.

Never gave it a though, really.

I use silver lenses on a black body because the lenses are vintage and were good deals.

I think I need and off-white camera for my off-white lens, otherwise how could people take me seriously?

I'm pretty indifferent to camera lens color . It's a camera and a lens not a fashion accessory for me. If the outside color of either influenced the quality of the shots i got then I'd care.

I think these images were probably taken with a black camera with various silver bits on it.

... but, sadly, one of the silver bits wasn't the lens-cap? ...

Dear Dennis,

Sometime ago we had a chinese fellow who sold a perfectly good chrome Leica M8 to get himself a black one, since it would match his tuxedo better.

My thoughts on camera's and lenses with different colors are: what are you wearing to go with it? And what color is your man purse?

Ah, but what would a Leica Man wear? Leica's own sales brochures give some clues to new customers.

I think this outfit was from a French brochure about M4-P.
