Well, I will buy both the 21mm and 24mm summilux and tell my girlfriend it is the newest fashion in Paris: wear earrings that look like lenses.
Insane pricing ...

Price of Noctilux ~~ Price of my House

I think I'm glad I didn't sell my Noctilux for $6K. if this keeps up, it will soon be worth more than my house.

Is only me who see that new Nocti looks smaller than older?

Anyone can post M8 with older nocti for comparison.

If new nocti is somewhat less at size, it'd be great to have instead of Lux ASPH But damn 8000 euros yikes.

21 24 Luxes?? Unbelievable.. Why no 28 Lux? 5000 euros. I guess it is for 21 24mm freak guys.

24mm Elmar looks intriguing.

Do we presume these lenses and the M8.2 are for real, or is this just speculation with a bit of Photoshop thrown in?

Chasseurs d'images is the one of the top two photography magazines in France. I doubt they would publish unvalidated information.

Unfortunately Leica hasn't been able to substantially upgrade their M8 camera or release a new DRF, a full-frame one. Instead they release these collector items... It almost feels like that Nikon might just deliver a coup de grace to Leica if they release a DRF with a price tag close to M8.2.

But we shall see.

you had better hope that you're a mutant, I think you would have to sell at least three kidneys at these prices

Nobody here thinking that - if it's true - the 21/1.4 is much more spectacular than a new Noctilux ? That one would be worth EUR 5000 if you ask me ....

How big can it be ...

no matter what price.. I think it's cool that Leica accepted some challenges for producing such 21/1.4.

Nikon can no longer boast about its own 28/1.4 We have never seen before 21/2 and voila it comes 21/1.4 directly from f2.8 for Leica. Two stops ahead, hm.

Is it having super fast very wide lenses important for Leica to show for other in the world? Like Noctilux for the brand recognition.
