for those folks who add items to their ads, after the initial ad is placed, please review the rules for classified posting...this is from rule #4 - ..However you may NOT add new items to an existing ad.

ads may be deleted if you do not follow the rules.

if you don't agree with this policy then do not place your ad here.

you're right.
the ad is gone.

maybe you'd like to be a mod for a few years and get all the perks too
If someone wasn't aware of rule #4 then a PM would have been sufficient... I'm sure he'd pay $5 for his next ad, even if the item is advertised for less than $100. As always: C'est le ton qui fait la musique.

deal. How 'bout we formalize it once I reach 20,000 posts. I'm on a good pace.

Seriously though I'm a big fan of the final rule re: no negative comments, especially with regards to comments about pricing. There's been some of that recently.

As one of those members here with a relatively late entry date and few posts, I hafta say: I appreciate the contribution of those who came before me, set this site up, and established it as a congenial place to hang out without demanding a dime from others.

As I see it everybody was notified of the changes and should have read them before posting. Therefore there is no excuse..

Yep……………. at one time, from here, all ya could see was fields, fields right out to the horizon

:)

Yes, of course you are uber-right.

There was no excuse but a proposal in order to settle the matter amicably. Nonetheless the added item has been removed immediately by the advertiser itself.

i was not trying to single anyone out and no names were used.
it was a reminder about the rules and possible consequences (of which none were imposed by me at this time)

and i think that it's amazing that the rule breakers will get support before the mods.
some of you guys really make this VOLUNTEER job so much more rewarding. (sarcasm)

thanks to those who can see both sides of an issue and rover, i can send you the name of my publicist.

joe

I am guilty of this but only out of ignorance. So I will correct my behavior. I would also like to see classifieds that use a photo unrelated ( near naked ladies or otherwise) to the item for sale, be zapped. We don't need Madison Ave tricks just show the item, please.

Joe, don't sweat that (I know you didn't really, just saying :) ).

I am reminded of a quote:

"It's not a slam at you when people are rude, it's a slam at the people they've met before." - F. Scott Fitzgerald
