Which Leica M-to-m4/3 adapter?

It now appears that there are about six million Chinese eBay sellers hawking Leica M-to-m4/3 adapters, all between 60 and 80 dollars, and all of them look roughly the same. I just ordered an m4/3 camera and mostly intend to use it with m4/3 lenses, but can't resist trying out my M lenses, too. Are there any of these to watch out for, that actually don't work well?

I am sure most will work great, but I would pay a few bucks more for the better build product that is from Japan. When those things came out few months ago, heard a lot of stories of unable to focus at infinity, don't know if they fixed that issue or not.

I'd like to know, too.

Problem is, in the UK, "a few bucks" works out at 170GBP difference between the Panasonic and something off ebay, or 100GBP between the Voigtlander/Rayqual/Novoflex and something off ebay...:bang:

I bought two off of ebay, and both work fine. One is labelled "RJ Camera" from ebay user "jinfinance", and the other is labelled "Kipon" from ebay user "hard-man". Both were around $80 I believe. The RJ Camera one seems a little more solid perhaps, but really they both work just fine.

Thanks for the links, everyone.

I was reading a thread last night in which Avotius reported problems focusing to infinity. But that was months back, so maybe these problems have been sorted out by now?

Hi all
I was wondering if it was the length of the adaptor which dictated whether you would got infinity focus or not. Would a long adaptor work similar to a macro tube, giving you a shorter close up range but losing infinity focus at the same time?

I'm still waiting for my adaptor to arrive.

Thanks, guys, I will probably get one from jinfinance. I suspect this situation is like the chinese LTM-to-M adapters, at first there were bad ones, but they've pretty much figured out how to do it by now.

I don't intend to use my M lenses all that often with this camera, but I gotta at least give it a whirl.

The original jinfinance adapters did not reach infinity - I sent mine back and got a CQ one, which is great.

I originally bought a jinfinance adapter and it did not focus to infinity and they sent me a new one that was reshimmed but did not fit on my camera. A few minutes with a file fixed that but a little annoying none the less. The other day in HK my friend got a Elefoto one and its perfect, was 520 HKD which is about 67 dollars. No wiggle, no looseness to it, very tight and firm with a bottom lens shroud, much better then my jinfinance ones which wiggled and jiggled around. The only thing on the Elefoto one is it had the tiny little red dot lens release which is a paint to get a firm press on, the larger tabs and buttons are a lot easier.
