I wonder how the Canon 50/0.95 was made. Was it done in a similar way?

I would think that any classic-era rangefinder lens would be hand-built like the Leica 50/0.95. From what I read, most every modern lens is mass-produced on an assembly line with little human "interference." Leica is one of the few companies that still makes lenses the old-fashioned way.
