I'm not complaining. I'm voicing an opinion and input for Steven's great idea.
Read the rules again. It's not limited to bodies which can use the lens, it's limited to rangefinders.
I really appreciate the contest but how does the organizer check what camera was used?
This contest could be a big hit, but it should be done right. Steven, clear up all confusion, lift the camera restriction and you have yourself an excellent contest with a super price

Perhaps you might want to read them again...
5) Camera: Rangefinders or cameras capable of using adapted rangefinder lenses (ie rangefinders and compact system cameras, not SLRs etc).

So we are both right. Let's open a beer!
And how do you know a photo is taken with a camera within those limitations? Exif info if digital? The word of the photographer if film?

Fair enough! I guess he's expecting some level of honesty within this forum. However, with such a prize, you are most likely right.

Quite a few good shots so far.. This should be interesting! On the flip side though, there are a few that don't fit the street photography definition too well.

I'm on this! My wife and I have both been trying to develop our "street" vision. What better excuse do I need?
I also plan to be honest about the gear I use. I would bet that an overwhelming (and heartwarming) proportion of RFF members are quite honest and trustworthy. So much so that I would not worry too much about folks complying with the conditions of the contest...as long as those conditions are perfectly clear for all to understand. It has been nice to be able to ask questions for clarity...
The human condition indeed! Could "honesty" be a part of this? I already know "beer" is.

You can do it yourself. Log in, then go to the Contest gallery and click on your image. Then click on the "Edit Photo" icon. Then click on the "Delete my photo" box.

Greetings to All!
I have decided to extend the contest entries until January 31st.
Make sure your entry lists the City, Camera, and Lens
You are on the honor system, but entries missing this info will be disqualified.
If shot with film, the type of film and developer would be appreciated.
HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL!
Stephen

Technically... it is neither a rangefinder, nor does it accept rangefinder lenses.
Then again, quite some Fuji X100 have been entered into the competition (and I am tempted to do so, too), and the X100 is not a rangefinder, nor does it accept the lenses.
I guess, no-one knows except the challenge initiator...
Maybe he will say a word on how strictly the camera-type restriction is handled...

I thought about uploading two photos, then I remembered I took them with an X100. not a rangefinder NOR capable of using rangefinder lenses. thus, not valid options. in fact what almost got me was the timeframe of the period the photo was taken, I almost uploded two older photos.

Apparently fixed lens rangefinders are ok - and they can't accept other rf lenses.
Unless my understanding of what a fixed lens rangefinder is is incorrect!
I really think we need some clarification on what is acceptable
Cheers

Great contest. I didn't know about it until I got an email from RFF today. In the email, it states that I still have 2 weeks to submit but actually it was ended already . A little bit too late .
"Greetings from RangeFinderForum!

Is there a supposition in the rules that street photography can only happen in cities? Can it not happen in the countryside?

If you hover or select "Gallery" (inside the "New Gallery", not in the "old" "Gallery"...yes, we don't not have no bananas), there's an option in the drop-down menu, "Upload Photos".
First among the smorgasbord of boxes and buttons and drop-down menus, at the very top, is the "Select Category" drop-down menu, from which you can select the contest.
