I have a bag from the Terraclime series from Lowepro.
Not overpadded, simple, made from cyclepet (recycled pet bottles) and the terraclime 50 that I got fits the X100 with the hood on perfectly....

The Bronica RF 645 (medium format rangefinder) has a 65 mm as their standard lens that is a roughly 40mm equivalent.. The 40mm lens is roughly a 28 and I love the combination of the two.

I'd go with the MF mostly for tonality and because you could say you got 35mm covered.. Have you thought about a user Mamiya 7? Relieves some of the focal length restrictions and still light enough..

yeah, i think in good light the dp1 does very very good. the sensor as well as the lens. in low light the colours can be problematic (more than the noise). but i often like the feeling of these files...
