My bargain M2 has bright marks and a ding near the viewfinder, but is mechanically sound. Also, and unfortunately, the original M2 viewfinder had been replaced with an M6 (I think) viewfinder.

If scale focusing doesn't bother you, then go for it! I have a Rollei 35 w/40/3.5 tessar and it is a great lens, very very sharp. I've heard some say the 2.8 is the one to get, though.

I just found out today that there were 3 different Canon F-1 SLRs, the F-1, the F-1n, and lastly, the F-1N (the one I have). I had no idea that capitalizing the "n" made it a whole new model!
