I just got my CL set together.
I have the body since a month or more, and I used an adapted Pentax 50mm that I borrowed from my firend on it.
Yesterday the Nokton 40mm (MC) and the multicoated JJC filter finally arrived. I only need the filter because I tend to bump the lens into things.

This sunpak flash is a joy to use, I got it for 50$ new. It also has an automatic mode without the need for additional hot shoe contacts other than the middle point.

My CL had two problems when I got it, the viewfinder (just the protecting glass) was foggy and the film counter was not returning when I removed the back. Luckily, I was able to fix these things easily.

One day when I was shooting, I had to change film in the cold and I was aware that the spool can become brittle in the CL but I did it anyway, so the white part just snapped. I removed that white part and now I am just taping the film to the spool. I want to fix that because loading film in complete darkness is definitely an issue for me. Possibly I can carve something out of wood if nothing else.

Slizrad, welcome to RFF and the CL Club. Good work on your CL combination. I have that lens and that flash too. They are just the best, when attached to the CL.

but decided against it hearing no one repairs them / lack of parts (?)

Thanks Helen. I’ve had this for years and though I don’t use it as often as other cameras, I still can’t ever sell it. The meter doesn’t work anymore, but the camera itself is non near mint condition minus the wear on the dials

My CL went to Don ( DAG ) to have the meter looked at and if needed fix and adjust for modern 1.5v battery. He did the meter work and a CLA as well and I received the CL this week.
