#tlrtuesday No. 11 - Lovers in Napoli

#tlrtuesday No. 11 - Lovers in Napoli by Nick De Marco, on Flickr

I took this photo with my Rolleiflex 2.8F about 6 years ago in Piazza del Plebiscito, one of my favourite spaces in Naples. The two lovers were so engrossed with each other they did not see me. Their passionate embrace, like the architecture behind them, is so much of the city of Naples. I have never displayed the photo before, waiting instead to show it in my big Italy project, but I remembered today is Tuesday 14 February!

Not too much overcast and rain in my part of California, but here is one from one of my Diacord G(s). I also used a Vivitar Macro 2500 ringflash:

Thanks Colton. Your triptychs gave me inspiration to get a Rollei pano head. It amazing that I do not remember to use it! That's got to come to an end.

A TLR and a Rollei pano head makes an awesome landscape camera kit.
I need to go shoot some more triptychs...

This camera just barely makes it into the TLR camp. You can disqualify me if you want.

One lens for viewing, another for taking... it's a TLR as far as I'm concerned

I was too lazy to do the double rewind of 120 modern film so I gave up on this camera. But I was surprised at how good it was.

I'm too lazy to load 120 onto 620 spools also.

Your image looks amazingly good to have come from such a simple lens.

- Murray

PS. I even once had a close-up lens, offered by Kodak, for my Duaflex.
