Last week the I bought the FUJIFILM X-Pro 2 and 23/2 WR lens from the Head Bartender.

I like the 23/2 and 35/2 Fujinons so much I'm about to order the 50/2.

Next, a large box with a X-T1, 12-24/4 and 56/1.2 will be on its way to KEH.
.
Now, if I have to decide whether or not I should keep the X100T.

Bought a Hasselblad 503CW with a12 back and 80mm 2.8 CFE Plannar. It's in like new condition and was priced so low I made the drive to Northern Maine to get it. (6 hour trip each way) Upside is I got to shoot with it at Acadia National Park while I was up there.

At a Church sale I found a Boxed Olympus XA with Flash, Battery and Film in it, for under 2$. I just wait for the Film to come back. A new Battery was all it needed.

Great find! Just proves you have to look around to find the good deals. Enjoy

Nikkor 800/8 AI-S found its intended target (local peregrine falcons). I needed a gimbal and upgraded tripod to operate this monster in the field.

Panasonic 14mm f/2.5. I'm resurrecting my old Olympus E-PM1 as a back-pocket camera to replace my dying Ricoh GRD4.

't'is a sweet little lens.

Risked it on an "untested" Fujica Mini. Opened the thing up and it looks like it's been sat in a steam room for a decade. Every single bit of it rusted solid. Oh well!

Voigtländer 3,5/28 LTM.
Wasn't really looking for one. Dubious I'd ever find one in the wild, much less at a reasonable price.

But there it was, in great shape...

Both my Summicrons are Canadian, as is my camera. I think the 70s and 80s era Leicas maximize construction quality, and minimize price. The earlier, German cameras are extremely well made, but the youngest is nearly 50 years old, and likely in need of major service. The later ones (M6 on, including the digitals) are considerably more expensive. And they all require batteries after returning manufacturing to Germany.

I am very happy with my North American Leica!

I bought a Nikon MC-36 which is an intervalometer I plan to use for capturing images of the eclipse. I tested it focusing on my backyard bird feeder, set it to take one image per minute, then went out shopping. Here's the image I captured:

Olympus Stylus TG-4. I'm holidaying in Majorca and need something to take to the beach/sea/pool. Last time I drowned my mobile phone; this time I aim to be better prepared.

I am doing PtPd printing of a portfolio of images from a recent trip to Yosemite and had to stock up on Pictorico, ink, Arches Platine, PtPd chemicals, foam board, and mat board. It adds up pretty quickly, and then you get to do it again. But the results are worth it.

Olympus XA: Second test roll off to Precision Camera and Video for processing. First test roll, decided C-41 processing wasn't for me as long as there's a lab open with reasonable cost. I paid significantly more than the $2 JohanK paid for his, but considerably less than the Olympus XA currently at Keh.

Praktica VLC2: Described as tested. Well, a couple of test fires without film, and the mirror stuck up and the film transport jammed. Found a way to unjam, but there continue to be issues with shutter/mirror/film transport. Repairman said to return if possible. Returned. Seller is picking up return shipping (as offered in original eBay listing), but is balking that the cheapest way for me to return (USPS and UPS were about the same) is over twice expensive as she paid to send to me (via Canadian Post).

Fujica ST-801: First test roll off to Precision Camera and Video, as above. Also picked up a seal kit just in case first roll shows light leaks. Why do I need this when I have a stable of Nikon FSLRs? I want to play with Russian M42 lenses. Mir-1 series and Helios 44 series are at the top of my list.

Does finding my long-lost/misplaced Nikon 1 V1 count? I'll be shooting the local "Cars and Coffee" this weekend with it, while awaiting the results from the test rolls.

22 rolls of 120 film for $20.

Agfa Optima Sensor 1535 coming any day now from Germany. I love its style - like a mini Plaubel Makina - and picked it over a Rollei 35 as it has a rangefinder and much more sensitive light meter.

I just this week picked up an X100f. I've been shooting just with an M monochrome for a while and can't do without color (other than an iPhone) indefinitely. The menu system on the Fuji is a bit jarring but I'm getting comfortable with it and it is fun to shoot with.

Bought a box of old camera stuff and this Rolleiflex 3.5e was in it,
along with some other stuff, including this vintage New York City Press Badge. Lucky find. Wish I knew more about the badge.
I think it's older than the Rollei. The Press Photographers assoc. of NY inc, started up in 1915. That's about all I know of it.

A mint Meyer Görlitz Trioplan 100mm/2,8 in M42 mount with lens hood that I found at a local flea market for the pricy sum of 10,-Euro together with a (dead) Kiev Exxell (35A) Minox copy.

My local camera shop had a nice Mamiya NC1000S (black) with 50mm/1,4 for 59,-Euro. I always liked the clean top and elegant lines of this camera, so I got it.

My first M6 came with one of Luigi's cases. It was a beauty. I have seen other makes over the years, but I still think Luigi makes one of the nicest cases out there.

Absolutely, me too. I don't get too obsessed with that kind of technical stuff. It's easy to get lost in the endless threads online about build quality and different experiences to the point where you spend more time researching than out shooting. I've been happy with the construction of all of my Leica cameras and lenses so far. Having a built in light meter is something I prefer, so having to deal with one small battery doesn't make a difference to me. I've never shot an M2/M3 though, so perhaps I have no idea what I'm missing.

Distraught about selling my Nikon F4 years ago in favor of digital, I recently purchased what might be the very last Nikon F6 sold in the world! Waited two months for B&H to get it. Took delivery last week. Nikon USA didn't even have a single piece in stock. Also a Nikon 24-120 lens, B+W UV and Orange filters. T max and Kodak Gold film.
