Our "Nikon Journal," published four times a year, concentrates on the history of Japanese photo equipment from the perspective of the Nikon Camera Company. Nikkor 5cmf3.5

Hi, needed help from the experts here. Is this lens shown here the same optically as the micro Nikkor5cmf3.5 in Nikkor S or LTM? It seems to have close focusing to 1.5ft but does not have the word, "micro" inscribed on the ring. Thanks.

This was meant as the Lowest priced option.
Most were sold with Nicca/Tower cameras. If you wanted faster you had to pay more for the f2.0 and even more for the f1.4
The fact is, not many were sold with the f3.5 and that makes it rare, not cheap today
