Saw a rare RF today 1949 Nikon M

This was at my local camera shop. Lady brought in a box of cameras and this was in it. Dont know what they gave her for it. Only 1600 ever made. it came with the even rarer rigid 50mm lens. Both looked in fantastic shape. It looks a lot like the more common S model. Heres some info on it...

Go back and find out what they paid for it.

There were two versions, the more valuable one does not have flash sync.

The M with Sync is essentially an early "S", but still has an M on the top plate to differentitate it from the original "I" 24x32 format..

Hey Rob! so you went by Wing's?? :-) :-) I saw the M too--beautiful! It is the one without sync---the lens is even rarer---fewer than 800 made--the lens itself is a work of art.
See ya there on the first---think Barry will be there too and maybe Walker...Mike also got in a ton of manual focus Nikon he was selling at very good prices. I sure like that store...but my credit card says STOP!
