Has anyone heard from Youxin Ye?

In the past, my favorite repair guy has always been prompt and communicative, but I've sent him a couple of things several weeks back, and haven't heard a thing. Package tracking confirms delivery, but not a peep from Youxin, even after a couple of inquiring emails.
Did I miss some news? I hope everything is okay with him.

I heard from him last week, he's slammed as the other poster said.
He's now running a 3 month schedule for repairs.

He told me 3 months too. If I really needed my stuff soon to mark rush on the box then it would be 3 weeks.

Hmm.. He repaired a lens for me within a day. Mailed the lens to him Monday and got it back in my hands by friday. I guess it depends on how complicated the job is. This was 2 months ago. Great great guy to deal with

"Slammed" in this context means backed up with work.

That's about the turn-around time I got on the Leica IIIa and IIIf that I sent to him a year and a half ago. I sent them one at a time and each one took two to three months.

I think that is correct. I emailed a question, he answered in a day with directions how to fix it myself.
Let's take care of this guy, he's young(ish) and he works fast, and is not $uper Expen$ive.

Yes, he told me the same.
I just didn't want to advertise that.

My M2's on its way there now.

He will contact you when he gets to your box. He doesn't open them until he is ready to do the job.

He's got lots of work from us, among others... He's totally responsive, though: I received several emails from him last week, as from Stephen Tedesco: Youxin is full of work, so I understood he's collaborating with Stephen (from NY area), who meets Youxin every few days in Boston area because work's now more than Youxin can handle alone... Youxin recommended me Stephen also for some other shopping related services I needed, and I talked with Stephen two or three times, and he seemed a great guy, precise and collaborative as Youxin has always been...

Thanks for the heads up. I'm going to have him do the MP finder upgrade on my M6 but I'll hold off until he is less busy. (It's not a critical repair)

'less busy' is not going to happen. Probably best to send it and get in the queue.

A couple of years ago, when he fixed the rangefinder in my newly acquired M4, he also told me to mark the box with the word "Rush." That way he'd know it was a quick repair. I sent the camera on a Monday and it returned on a Friday, IIRC.

Other than that, I admire that he can reply to messages within the day. Ordinarily, he's very busy, so I'm not surprised...

I am fortunate to live near Youxin and picked my camera up from him this morning. I can certainly confirm that he is very busy. Many boxes waiting to be worked on and he works on them 7 days a week.

He did a great job on my Tower 45 and Nikon 5cm f2. The camera feels and sounds very different now. Youxin said it had way to much shutter tension and the viewfinder is crystal clear, it was very hazy before.
