Social Experiment

Hello.

If you go here:

http://www.flickr.com/photos/3702671...7616248126749/

you'll find 16 various looks applied to the same shot. I'm interested to see which look people prefer. These filters were applied to a completely fresh from the camera file, nothing has been done apart from click a button.

If you could just say which you like, and if you can be bothered, why you like it, it'd be very cool.

Ta.

A.

All those possibilities. It can make my head swim if I think too long about it.

How do you choose?

B/W stark 1, I suppose. It is the closest to looking like traditional B/W (printed a certain way, to be sure), and I like the darker overall image, I think it lends a little more drama.

I have to admit that I also prefer the original file to any of the others. Out of the others, I would probably pick something in between Ansel Dark and B/W Stark.

Heh... Sorry I'm not much use :P

No, it's great if people prefer the original. Means I didn't do an arse backwards job in the first place.

The original is my favorite too. It seems the most straightforward.

I'm torn between the original color & the B&W low contrast. Leaning toward the b&w I suppose. Both are very good.

@Steve, I added your blog as a must read. Blogger has a new add on to help one to follow your blog. Something to think about! But anyhow cool blog!

Agree. There's no doubt in my mind.

i prefer the first one. For me the colour is an essential part of this shot. BW makes me look a bit longer.
stats: Male, single, 42, Austrian (to give it a proper sociological air)
