New lab has opened in New Jersey

It's interesting to see that in the last 2-3 years several new labs have opened worldwide which are run by young(er) enthusiast film photographers.
Here is a new one in Medford, New Jersey, USA:

Hopefully they extend their service to E6 and real silver halide BW prints in the future, too.

Cheers, Jan

A bit of a ride for me (60km or so) but close enough to seriously consider. I should show up and beg them to get an E6 line going.

Thanks for the tip!

Wow! Check out the price per sheet to develop 4x5 film (hint: it's $10.00)

You're all welcome, guys .

I've found them on facebook, on the facebook page of "Old School Photo Lab" in Dover, NH:
https://oldschoolphotolab.com/
https://www.facebook.com/OldSchoolPhotoLab/
The team of 'Old School Photo Lab' sold one of their older C-41 processing machines to them helping them to get started. There is a posting about that on their facebook page.

Besides Old School Photo Lab and Medford Film Lab: Looks like there also some more options in New England:
Just recently another young(er) film enthusiast has opened a new lab there. He is also a forum member here:
https://www.northeastphotographic.com/

Then there is of course the excellent and long established lab Praus Productions in Rochester:
https://www.4photolab.com/

And McGreevy in Albany, NJ:
http://www.mcgreevyprolab.com/

And Photosmith in Dover, NH:
http://photosmithimaging.com/film-services.html

Probably there are even some more I don't know. So you guys from New England, just post here and add them to the list .

Cheers, Jan

An ‘old C41 machine’ was mentioned. I am really curious. Can these developer machines still be serviced and kept in reliable service?

Yes, no problem.
There are several service companies specialised on exactly that. And in the last years even complete new (Asian) spare parts manufacturers were founded producing lots of different spare parts for minilab machines from Fuji, Noritsu, Agfa etc.
Fuji and Noritsu are also producing new mini labs.
And Colenta, Hostert and some others are producing new film processing machines.
At last Photokina fairs I was surprised how much companies are active in this field.

Cheers, Jan

Hey All!
I am a co-owner of Medford Film Lab. (Thanks Jan for posting about us!) Ironically, I found this thread through our website analytics on referral traffic.
Thought I'd pop in here even though this is a 2 week old thread, but we are VERY new to the industry and opened in January of this year after I partnered with my friend and film shooter, Dave Hernandez. I got tired of having to ship my film off as I wasn't satisfied with the labs around me that I could drive to, so we figured we'd give it a shot ourselves. Here we are 7 months later and we're still doing this part time and slowly growing. If you guys have any questions feel free to email me through our website or send me a message on here!

Regards,
Austin

Hi Austin,

welcome, nice to have you here! I wish you lots of success!
How many hours a day are you both working in your lab?

Cheers, Jan
