You have a new fan. I enjoy your photos very much. Iím glad that you chose b&w film to shoot them. I thought the opposite about the developing marks. I find they add interest to me. I understand everyone is different and thatís what is so great about photography.

I see you shoot different film stock. Do you have a favorite film you like? Iíd love to read your thoughts thus far.

Hello Greg! Thx so much! I like "raw", blurred, dirty pictures. Especially in our modern, digital world

My first choice is TRIX (@400-1600)
Sometimes Acros (@100-400), Delta (@800-1600)
For smooth/oldschool look: Rollei RPX 400.

Take care

Always interesting to come back to this thread to see your latest pictures Majki. Enjoying the journey

As to processing marks, it's evidence of the hand, which I like.. perhaps you are familiar with Miroslav Tichy's pictures, where primitive home made cameras and rough processing is part of the art?

Hello Lynnb, thx for good words!
It's simple for me. ( Even simplier than Miroslav)
In our digital modern world, full of post production, PS, fake beauties, and retouch i am looking for some raw, ugly, and true pictures. This is my "less is more".
I love every dust and scratch on my negatives

But it's not your theme. I don't understand why u wrote this to me.
Less is more when u are HCB. I am not.
Or maybe I should shoot less? Like one roll per week? Month? A Year?

Do you have any real smart and good advices to help me?

Right, you will sort them in retirement.
I admire you for this consistency. I can never motivate myself to leave home in winter. But tell me - why don't you stain your photos?

Majki,

Keep doing what you are doing. This is how we develop a style. You are opening yourself to criticism from which you can learn. Some of your images I like, some I don't but I always look forward to seeing new images on your thread.

You have inspired me to get out there and shoot more.

Steve

Majki said he likes his negatives with all their blemishes. I love seeing this work & I find the scratches & stains add to his signature of the environment he shoots. Keep shooting.
