Going in for CLA. ;-)

I am going in for left hip replacement surgery Tuesday, 13 March. The left hip has been getting worse for the last few months and putting a major crimp in taking Zorki and FED out to play.

Please pardon me if this is the wrong place to post this message, but this forum is where I live in RFF.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery. I've had my right knee replaced three times. Been there, done that!

With best regards,

Make sure to mark the right hip with a "It's the other hip, stupid!". And get back soon.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery. And make sure they check your shutters for dragging curtains.

I'll wish you luck and make sure you get a receipt, just in case you want to sell it later on ;-)

Just make sure they don't, uh, cannibalize another "junker" body for parts....

Surgery went well and I am my hospital room waiting for dinner. And PF, the surgeon marked the hip while I was PreOp.

Thanks for all of the best wishes. And if I make all of my milestones, I should be discharged today. Even got in some smartphone photography yesterday. The view from my room is very geometric.

Got some bad news, they're keeping me another night. My blood pressure dropped down to the 60s and they were worried that I would pass out. Bah!

I wasn't able to bend over and open the camera bags my FSU cameras slumber in, but I did wave at them. :-)
.
And I gave the Frau a hug. Terri has been great helping me out with this. Helping me out of bed, giving me pep talks, driving me around. I couldn't have done it without her.

It's always nice to get home from the hospital. Glad to hear they took the extra precautions. You did get a warranty, yes?

No warranties, but doing well at home.

It is surgery + 7 days. Santhil, Physical Therapist, is happy with my progress.

I've been able to take out the FED2 for some photography.

I think that I'm on the mend.

Thank you one and all for your good wishes.

Going back to work Monday.

Hip is feeling much better now and has a better range of motion. I am happy with the results.

PF, I think that I got the same warranty on my last FSU purchase, a Kiev 88. The bad news, it worked for about a year and the lens diaphragm won't stop down. ;-).
Seriously, the orthopedic surgeon said that the artificial hip should last 20-25 years.
