Hybrids are nothing new in Cuba. This 1980 Chevrolet Corvair had the original rear mounted engine removed and a Peugeot diesel engine installed under the front hood.

The camion or passenger truck in the background, once a freight hauling flatbed, is a common Cuban hybrid. All one needs is a welder, some steel, some seats and canvas for the roof.

Bob - I don't think Chevy was building Corvairs in 1980.

Another Cuban hybrid. This '57 Plymouth 4 door sedan became a convertible with help from an acetylene torch.

The event is a "quince" or 15th birthday for a young woman. This signifies her entry into womanhood although many have already crossed that threshold by that age.

Thanks. I meant to say 1960. Bad things tend to happen to your brain when you get old.

Out to Lunch, on Flickr. Based on the same concept as the Baby-Brousse, the Vietnamese
Citroën Dalat (1969–1975) was manufactured, with 3,850 examples produced. (Source Wikipedia).

The idea was to produce cars in (former) French colonies and overseas territories without having to invest
in expensive stamping machines. Hence the square look. Vung Tau, December 2009. Canon

A couple of MG Magnettes at Goodwood for the RetroRides meet. Apart from the excrescence to the right, this could have been shot in the 60s (Carl Zeiss Jena Flektogon 35mm and Kodak Pro Image 100 are a very nice combination).

Apart from that have a Rolleiflex 3.5F, the odd Minolta XD7, Hasselblad 500cm, a Topcon Super D and an Intrepid 5x4 large format (not the half of it but I am clearing them out, honest).

I do all my own black and white developing at home.
