thank you Larry.
Having fun playing with lenses in the garden, and with shallow dof ( even though that might not be all that popular here )

Apart from that have a Rolleiflex 3.5F, the odd Minolta XD7, Hasselblad 500cm, a Topcon Super D and an Intrepid 5x4 large format (not the half of it but I am clearing them out, honest).

I do all my own black and white developing at home.

Keep it up. These images highlight exactly why shallow depth of field, and management of the out of focus areas are not a fad, no matter what anyone here occasionally says. Everything has its uses.
Id love to have that earlier one on my wall.

thank you Larry. Generally imo photography is a very wide field with many possibilities and as such all have their right to exist.
If you really would want to print out one, please download the original file size from my flickr, if that isn't possible I'd also send it to you via email

^ very beautiful light Charles!

to mention, for my photos recently shown, to "close focus", used a "helicoid adapter" ( actually stacked M42 resp. LTM > Leica M + Leica M > Sony E helicoid adapter )
just as for this one, Auto Yashinon f2/5cm, M42 > Leica M + Leica M > Sony E helicoid adapter

Peter,

Sorry for the lack of a response, I just now saw this.

Shot is of California poppies, late in the summer when things are dying out. One of my more filmic shots, but regret to say it was shot with a Leica 35-70 f/4 Vario Elmar-R on a Leica SL at f/4 1/80 sec then converted to sepia toned monochrome with Silver Efex Pro because the color version was a lot less interesting. As far as camera and lens are concerned, this is one of those that could have been taken with almost anything. It’s funny, as it is one of the rare digital ones that looks more like film than some of my film shots, which is what I shoot most of the time. When I looked at it, I thought it was something I had shot on ORWO UN 54. But, no.
