Hi Guys, shooting with rangefinders on BW for more than 10 years, finally I was brave enough to collect all the supplies and try out printing (after an unsuccessful attempt in 2009). Let me summarize what equipment I have. I found a Meopta Axomat 4 with Belar 50mm lens. I bought Ilford Ilfospeed RC Deluxe grade 3 and PQ developer at 1+9 dilution. I found my prints a bit too contrasty. Now I see last prints posted on this thread also contrasty. So is this a common thing?

p.s. for some reason rff site doesnt show the photos. So I put the links.

Thank you, Pan. I started printing in 1967 when I was 12 years old with an Opemus IIa enlarger. So I have some experience.

Thank you Erik. I've used quite a lot of Foma Variant. I like the dynamic range it is able to print. It reminds me of a more neutral version of Ilford WT.... and the skies and highlights print more like old Forte Polygrade (less need to burn/dodge)

Got a chance to hit the darkroom last night and I found that neg. From 2003. I'm surprised the building is still there and standing. At least I know where it was taken thanks to Greg. I've wondered about that for a long time. Lol. I love NM!
