Yes, the one I sent to myself also arrived in a day. (I always send one to myself so I get a postmarked copy for the archive ...) Last year's arrived back without a postmark, so I mentioned that specifically to the clerk when I dropped this year's cards off. He made sure that it was nicely postmarked!

I am so happy that I've decided to join this. So very very very cool.

Working on my part of the project this weekend. Not an easy task the pick the right image but I think I got it!

Again, this is really very special. You can already count me in for the next one.

My apologies for being late -- the end of the semester is always so hectic that I just placed my Moo order today. The cards will go out first week of June. Chose a pinhole image this time around.

Been enjoying the daily dose of one to three cards in the mail. Haven't counted them thus far (see above about being hectic), but they've all been wonderful!

All of mine are out! Sorry to my international friends as those were the last batches to get mailed. I had to spread out the mailing costs this time around due to financial issues -- thanks to the current U.S. "administration" . But, I will not elaborate as I want to avoid political-based strife among this very civil and congenial group.

I have noticed that darkroom prints fare much better in the postal system than the various service-printed cards (e.g., Vistaprint, which I happened to use ). I don't know exactly why, but the observed pattern in received cards is robust....darkroom prints rule as postcards. Not that the postal service didn't try their best , but those silver-based paper images came through with barely a roller mark .

Was there a cyanotype among us? I need to review my stack and see how that fared as well.

Thank you darkroom printers!!!! This makes me think I should dust off the darkroom kit and start up again, even if just for RFF Postcard . I retained all my darkroom equipment, and even have a space where I could set up. The main problem is -- darkness. The old darkroom was actually a corner of my garage (and could be again). It is not sufficiently dark in that space until the sun goes down. During June-August that would mean I can't start printing until after 10:30PM local time. Errr, I like to be settling myself down about that time and thinking of sleep. I'm not 24 anymore

Raid, your card made it to me as well, but almost didn't. The post carrier delivered it to one of my neighbors. The unfortunately disabled neighbor almost didn't catch the error; but he did and brought it over to my house. Whew!

I hope there haven't been other errors

Sent the last of mine on Monday. Best regards to all!

After a brief explanation, my post-people were willing the pull out their fancy stamp and apply the postmark (Blam!) while I watched.

I have received 14 people's cards so far here in far away Australia, and they are all lovely. Thank you very much.
Thank you especially, Col. Moran for your kind note on my offering, and also for the bonus postcard.

2 more arrivals today ... I'm up to 24 now, 18 yet to come.

I'll be curious to hear how long they take to get to Australia, England, Germany, etc. They were all mailed on the 20th of May.

Godfrey, I haven't receive yours yet, but from experience they take at least 7 days, often 10 days and sometime 14 days. Abysmal service really. In both directions. I'll let you know when it comes.

I’ve been out of town so I’ve been missing out on the postcards. I’m looking forward to getting my fix when I get home next week.

Apparently today was a Canada Post postcard day or something because they delivered nine of them after a few days of dry spell. I mailed mine a week ago so it could take a while for them to get to people.

Proud to announce that your card arrived today after the last two misfires from the postal service somewhere along the line.

My Wife and Daughter loved the card

OK, I've been occupied with work and home repair...

Just decided to sit down and see what's come so far: I have 28 cards. I think one of them might be the bonus card from "The Colonel". I tend to save them in order received -- when I get time I'll make a tally of who's cards came first, last and all in-between.

I'm in western Oregon, USA if that means anything... and I'm pretty sure there's at least one Australian card in the pile. I'm certain there's an Austrian card

B/W aerial of the frozen lake, no writing, that's the bonus. A card I created for my local community here in NH, easy to slip into the envelope. Best regards, everyone!

Two more cards arrived today, I'm up to 29.

I keep track of what has arrived and the date of arrival in a spreadsheet, also what was sent and when (... and the edition numbers, who got which card in the run ).

I received your postcard yesterday Stephan!

The scene looks vaguely familiar, as if I've been there before. However, the last time I was in Tokyo was in 2002 ... How recent is that building?

Today I received Raid's and Red Rock Bill Keeler's cards. I was very pleased to see a picture of the town drummed into me by the Eagle's "Take it easy". Raid's card is lovely too, of Pensacola Beach. At one point I thought I'd be visiting Pensacola a lot because my son-in-law in the US Navy thought he would be posted there. As it turned out he and my daughter got sent to San Diego.
Godfrey, I still haven't received your card.

My MOO order got delayed due to Easter and only arrived just before I was heading out for a 3 1/2 week trip to Japan. I am now back in London, but sadly I missed the deadline, however the majority of the cards are now on their way and the rest will follow shortly.

This time in Tokyo I spent three days hunting down a silver Zeiss Ikon ZM – it was not easy, you will frequently hear that those that have one never really let it go – during which I met many a friendly used camera store owner to practice my half-broken Japanese with. I really should do a write up on this to guide others as camera shopping in Tokyo is both wonderful and challenging without some understanding of Japanese. Now I just have to keep my promise to my wife and sell off my old Bessa R2 as the Ikon is meant to replace it – “surely you want me to have AE now that we have a child on the way. Oh, what is AE? Um, it allows me to take pictures faster and you know, kids move around quickly – it is essential, I assure you!”

Back to the subject at hand, when I got back to London I had 22 wonderful cards waiting for me and four more have arrived since then – thank you everyone!

One postcard arrived each of the past two days, so I'm up to 31 received and 12 yet to come. It's an excellent set of postcards! Very inspiring! :-)

Thanks for the update, Peter. Hopefully it will get there soon ... 11 days in transit now.

Delays...delays...work, family, etc. but the cyanotypes are printed thanks to another especially sunny Oregon day and I'm working on addressing them now. They should go out Monday.

I have received 29 cards thus far and enjoyed each and every one of them.

Thanks to everyone, this is so much fun.

Cheers,

Hallelujah, Godfrey's lovely card arrived today, which makes it 13-14 days in transit. That's US-Aus post for you.
Also received beautiful cards from Don Parsons and Dourbalistar, the Pun Star, which had a nice message too.

Thank you for the compliment, Peter! I'm glad it arrived. 13-14 days is a bit, but not too terrible. I've had mail to Mexico (from California!) take three months!

I also received Godfrey's and Dourbalister's photos today, hopefully Raid's and Don Parson's will turn up tomorrow (my mail has to travel an extra 700km from Sydney where Peter is). I'm up to 24 cards now. I have to say I'm really enjoying this, can't wait to check the letter box each morning. Just annoyed that I didn't get involved sooner. I do feel a bit guilty using TouchNote when I see how much trouble people have gone to printing and/or writing by hand. I did it to save on postage but may have to make a better effort next time .

cheers,
clay
