Also, I'm going to upload my rejected photos to the gallery from my possible postcard images. One shot just makes me anxious! I'd love to see other member's rejects...
I see your point. When the deadline is reached and we begin posting and discussing the shotd we used for this round we could also add some images which didn't make it. And why. I had around 5 candidates.

Good idea to show and reflect also this part of the whole work.

True, would also be interested to see the selection process of some members, if there is something to tell.

Mine had a label on the back of the card...unless one slipped through without it.

Been a busy busy couple of weeks, out of town half of it ... I just inventoried and found I've received 12 postcards from RFF #11! Wow! I better get off my duff and get mine printed up and out the door, eh? I've got the photo I'm using down to about three right now... The back-print stuff is all laid out and ready to chuck through the printer.

Yes: I will make the deadline.
Seriously nice cards from everyone so far! Lovely job of it, all of you!

My cards are going out in trickles....

-> 5 cards out yesterday.
-> 15 going out today.
-> Another 8 go out tomorrow.

And then I need to go get more stamps. I think I need about 12 more stamps, mostly the international ones.

I'm up to 10 cards received as of today (15 May)

At last there all gone

I mailed the rest of my cards today and have received 14 great cards back from u-all

Side note;
I hand signed my cards and in a rush I stacked them on top of each other,resulting in a smudge on the face of the first batch I sent out. I know because I always post one of my cards back to me and it had this defect.

Cheers

On the latest possible date, I finished my postcards today. Sorry to all for the delay.

On the bright side: you can enjoy receiving postcards a little bit longer...

I have received 15 postcards so far. So there are still many to look forward to.

Thank you all so far for the great postcards and pictures!

I used a pen to write on each postcard, followed by laying all cards on a big table so that the ink could dry off. If anyone receives my card, let me know please so that I know that all is right.

My respect to you! I was totally lazy, using printed labels... I did handwriting in one or two of the previous rounds, but since the text was pretty long, I felt my hand was falling off. And it took ages to write all that down, with the effect, that most people weren't able to read my "handwriting". Sorry for my lazyness, at least I signed with my fountain pen...

Only the send to addresses were labels. I did not write much but I enjoyed doing it. The cards printed on premium paper by Vistaprints came out looking good. I “obeyed” the suggestion not to place cards inside envelopes.

I just received 5 cards from 4 people! Thank you.

I'm racing, slowly, to the deadline. My goal is to get the cards into the mail on Monday so that they all have the May 20 postmark on them.

Still picking the image to print, but I'm down to about two now. I'm printing the backs of the postcards now. The printing is tedious ... It takes three passes per sheet of paper to get the post card markings, then the address, then the image printed. And then I finish cut them by hand to size, sign and stamp them. I might write some provenance on each by hand too.

Fun fun fun. 15 cards have arrived so far, most all quite wonderful. I haven't seen yours come in yet, Raid.

I finished addressing all of my cards this morning, only to be foiled by the post office's limited weekend hours. Mine will be posted on Monday as well.

I do hand write your name and mine so you will see the fate I have saved you from.

I might be a couple days late...

Originally planned to do cyanotypes but the sun did not cooperate last week, in fact it barely came out at all, and work has taken up more time than expected.

So might be a an inkjet rendition of a cyanotype...or something else altogether.

Thoroughly enjoyed each and every card received thus far, thanks to all and promise to repay as soon as possible.

Cheers - AnalogAngler

Mine are on the way!

Hi guys,

I came back home last night and had six more cards awaiting my arrival!
Boy, did that bring a smile to my face.

I'm off today (wifes birthday) so I addressed all my cards and just got back from
dropping them off at the Post Office.

Thanks for all your beautiful cards!

If someone doesnt receive mine, drop me a note, I have extras.

Don

Hello all,

I was late to enter, not sure how that happened. Valentino (dct) kindly sent me a list, so I've ordered cards and expect to be sending them out to all likely next week sometime. I'm hoping everyone has an extra they can send me. If my address isn't on your list can you please email me and I will send it back to you? I'm jeffpressman at yahoo dot com. Many thanks and greatly appreciated.

I just dropped my postcards off at the post office, so hopefully they get a postmark today. Jeff, your name was already on my list, so you should be getting at least one postcard in this round (but hopefully more).

If anybody doesn't get one from me because of the post office gremlins, feel free to let me know. Like Don, I have a few extras.

The carrier pigeons must be fighting headwinds to the Antipodes - so far I've received 7 from overseas, plus 2 from Australia. Looking forward to the post!

Has anyone received mine yet?

I’m out of town for a couple of weeks so I asked the post office to hold my mail... so no post cards until I get back.

I got yours, Lynn. Looks like it shipped pretty quickly (domestically) via TouchNote, even though you're "down under".

Got yours, Lynn, thank you. My tally is fourteen (5 from the US, 3 from Canada, 3 from old Europe, and 3 through Touchnote with a stamp from Guernsey). Lovely, lovely stuff, thank you all. I 'm looking for the post every day.

[PS. Glad to read the Homer quote was of topical interest with some of you. It was the first thing I thought when I chanced upon the scene.]

With wife and kids out of town, I finally got into the darkroom today. It took about five hours, but I've now printed all the cards. I'll try to get them out by the end of the week, if work permits. My apologies in advance to anyone with a fear of spiders.

I wasn't at a Leica store, but Raid and Godfrey's postcards arrived in my mailbox yesterday.

Godfrey, seems local USPS is pretty fast!
