Love the colors, Roland. When you were there did you hike out to the very point? It's a fairly long jaunt (iirc it was ~4-5 miles each way), but lots of elk when we were out there. Sadly, unless you get up real close, elk don't show up well with a 35mm lens

Wow! An incredibly esoteric reference. Fortunately, your pic is nothing like the subject matter of the film, which stunned be when I was in college, and saw it for the first time.

Cheers...

Rem, indeed, Night & Fog, as well as much of Resnais's other work, both dramatic and documentary, is rather staggering.

Thanks Kevin "large size" is definitely the best way to show that one. You definitely caught the 'right amount' of fog for yours it's working very well!

CR your Velvia shot is a great colour take. I like it.

We were there several times, Kevin. At the right season you can walk by the Elk (and calves) just a few feet away. Very pretty area.

And for the OP, an older pic with some different kind of fog

Lucky man. The elk were quite skittish when we were out there -- maybe it was the gunshot sound of my Zeiss ZM shutter that scared the elk off! If only I'd had a Leica back then!
