Smile Most Famous Nikon RF Photog Contest

OK Folks, 3 Voigtlander R2S body caps and 3 Voigtlander SC rear lens caps (both fit all classic Nikon RF and Contax RF bodies and most lenses), to the first person who posts MY choice for the most famous Nikon RF shooter ever. Just post and be the first to name the photog that I believe deserves that title.

Have Fun Guessing.

No guess? No peanuts!

How about DDD, as in David Douglas Duncan?

Good choices, but so far, no caps. This guy worked as a photographer, but became famous in a sightly different job.

Wasn't his, it belonged to 'Johnny Raven', tour bus driver. That's what appears on the album cover for Highway 61 Revisited.

How about Dennis Hopper? I saw an interview of his, showing off pics he used to take in the mid sixties I think it is.

While shamelessly searching Google for this during my lunch hour, I found this:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/140...lance&n=283155

Scroll down and read "News Photographer Assigned To Oxford Murder Trial" by Harold Barker. CHILLING!

Somebody ought to interview this fellow for a story.

Best Regards,

Bill Mattocks

Jurgen Vollmer photographed the Beatles in Hamburg, shot for Vogue, etc., and went on to work in film.

He was an avid hobby photographer as well, and preferred rangefinders. I found a couple of photos of him with a Leica (M4?) taking photos of his family. I believe he also had or used the Nikon RF.

I could be mistaken, but while Googling for this, I read that Capa was found dead with two cameras, one loaded with color film and the other with B&W. One was a Contax, the other a Nikon RF.
