Indian Red Kid Goat Skin on Leica M3

Just put this on last night... Indian Red Kid Goat skin from cameraleather.com. Feels fantastic. Been getting up the courage for this leather for a long time. The red looks slightly different in various lighting, but has depth to it if that makes any sense.

The perfect street shooter lens camera combo I think... but, maybe not so discreet

Finally! I've been watching this thread and drooling over the all the gorgeous gear everyone has in their possession. Here is my contribution and my very first Leica: a black Leica M8 I acquired just a few weeks ago.

I was originally going for a film Leica--a chrome MP. Unfortunately the deal fell through and I lucked out with this M8 which was a steal of a deal. I couldn't say no and here I am. I look forward to contributing my photos and more to this forum.

Thank you all for being so accommodating! I am happy to be joining this community of Leica shooters!

I'll be d*mned, you are right! I haven't used it since its unfortunate close encounter with the concrete at an Indian airport. It needed repair and also a new cover, but apparently the repair guy overlooked this minor fact!

Ah well, gives me a reason to fondle it again

Love it but too expensive a lens to feel loose, think I will downgrade.... M6 is perfect, had Youxin remove the 75 and 135 framelines and I like it much better.

Couple of M2's - could not find the site for "chrome lenses on black bodies" so posting it here instead.
Both lenses are C Biogon 35f2.8 (best "medium" speed 35 ever made)
The M2 103 is a repainted one - I think the number is something like 1034xxx - but it does not matter.
XX in Pyrocat semi stand development for 15 min. Visoflex III and V-Elmar 65f3.5 on another M2.

When you have 50 M2's then you do not care when you drop one of them. (The chrome one you dropped but not so bad damaged Tom..)

Wow, nice gear here, just found this thread. My meager collection, acquiring a lens or two as well right now.
One missing from the lineup is a Model 1, (1929), getting refurbished.
The M8 is for sale as well, the M9 has taken over.
