Zeiss Contax Forum for the classic Zeiss Contax I, II, III, IIa, IIIa , G series, and if you want to push it, the nice Contax point and shoots. Some spill over from the Kievs, the Soviet copy of the Contax II/III can also be expected. Plus the ONLY production camera ever made in classic Zeiss Contax Rangefinder mount WITH TTL metering ... the Voigtlander Bessa R2C.

Oops, forgot about this thread.

Thinking about scrapping my G2 for a Mamiya 7 since I can really only have one decent camera and I like 6x7 better, but for now here are some photos

I'll add one of my own.

I just love these lenses. Every time a roll comes back from the lab they bring a smile to my face. Only the Rolleiflex amazes me more consistently.

G45 on a G1.

Show your Contax G photos

The Contax G is a very capable system!

I thought I might kick off things again with a shot taken with the G90... a lens that always delivers great results even though I have to force myself to chose it over the 28 and the 45.

And a few more with the 90:

And with the 45 (this shows the autofocus quandary wide open: I meant to focus on the person, but shifted slightly and got perfect focus on the target area. So I softened her OOF while trying to keep the essence of her vigilance....)

Thanks for sharing, very nice serie.

Photos from your web site are amazing, good inspiration for b&w photographers. I like your compositions, the blurry subjects and your dodge and burn effects.

The G2 was my favourite camera, before it was stolen. This photo is with the 28mm Biogon on high resolution Adox CMS 20.

Damn you people.

I buy a G2. I sell a G2, because i hate the viewfinder. Then i see pictures like these and i buy another G2. Then i sell that G2... same reason. And so on and so on. I've probably done that four times, and now you've given me the itch to try again. Just stop!

One of the G2s i sold went to a friend who does beautiful things with the 28mm Biogon — a lens/focal length i've never been comfortable with. He makes it work in ways i wish i could:
