This from my 1933 Leica ll with an old Summitar that I pulled apart to clean and discovered it had a broken aperture blade ... so gave it a very rough and ready clean job and threw it back together with no blades ... permanent f2!

Rollei Retro 100 in Rodinal which I like ... it has a rather vintage look IMO. It's the first roll of film I've put through this camera in a long time and I'm empressed with the little black Leica.

Keith,

I have a friend who has a Canon 50mm f1.4 with one blade missing - doesn't affect the results too much - just v interesting bokeh. Maybe you should put back the ones you have?

Nice Thread

Hi, i find difficult to challenge the III series, i used a lot a iii-f and regret selling it, not to mention the elmar 50 3.5, the perfect balance between performance and compact lens.
I think ill will end taking photos only with this gear.
Nowadays i found two III-g in my country, quite a surprise since i never thought they would show up!!! and two of them, im so happy!!!

These shots were taken with my III-f and elmar 50 3.5 with fp4 and xp2.

Bye!

Scanned some old 8X10s (from 10 or so years ago) of portraits shot with Leica LTM. Two studio with tungsten lighting, two outdoors in sunlight. Leica III or IIIc used in all with 50 Industar and 90mm lenses (the last, colour photo).

Can't remember if this was shot with a 90mm or an 85 Canon.

Leica III + 90mm f/4 Elmar (1937, coated), Kodak BW400CN.
It could've benefited from a little fill-flash

He was a Polish paratrooper, I did not ask, but I think he did jump near Arnhem during Market Garden. The picture was taken at the General Maczek Museum re-opening last year in the City of Breda, where many soldiers of the 1st Polish Armored Division ended up after the war.

bigeye, thanks, I don't do a lot of portraits but it seems that for both portraits and other shots I seem to get some of the best ones when using a LTM and some of that old glass.
